Extraction system B-811: determination of extractables in a PVC sample
Extractables are chemical compounds that migrate from rubber or plastic material under forced conditions as high temperature, solvent contact, etc. These samples are usually extracted with a manual Soxhlet Extraction apparatus for 48 h. This application note described the automated Soxhlet extraction of extractables in PVC using Extraction System B-811.
