Area Business Manager Switzerland & Austria

As a key member of the region DACH-I, the resource has the primary responsibility to lead the sales team to achieve the required growth in Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein. The position focuses on sales growth, territory optimization and customer experience enhancement by enabling sales resources and customer support team structure, tools, and best practices.

What You Will Do

  • You lead, coach, and develop the sales organization in Switzerland and Austria with a focus on sustainable growth and strong customer orientation.
  • You develop and implement regional sales and growth strategies based on market, customer, and performance analyses, and you are responsible for forecasts and the ongoing development of your region.
  • You identify new market opportunities, acquire new customers, and strategically develop existing customer, partner, and key account relationships.
  • Together with Marketing, Service, and other internal stakeholders, you ensure an optimal customer experience and execute targeted campaigns, events, and business development activities.
  • You analyze market and competitive developments and derive concrete measures to increase market share and profitability.
  • You ensure that CRM, reporting, and sales processes are used efficiently and continuously improved.
  • In close collaboration with the Area Business Managers in Germany and Italy, you promote successful regional cooperation and knowledge sharing within the organization.
  • Together with the General Manager, you are responsible for budget planning, forecasts, and the mid- to long-term sales strategy.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales management or business management, ideally within a technical or scientific environment
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams, including Sales, Technical Application Support, Service, Inside Sales, and/or Marketing personnel
  • Strong commercial mindset combined with strategic thinking and execution capabilities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing a diverse territory
  • Strong customer focus with outstanding relationship-building abilities
  • Fluency in both French and German; English is considered an advantage
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region (approximately 50%)
