Technical note on carry-over and cross-contamination

Sediment and soil samples containing PAHs, PCBs, Dioxins and Furans were extracted with the SpeedExtractor E-916. While processing, the samples of parallel blanks (cross-contamination blanks) and consecutive blanks (carry-over blanks) were analyzed to investigate possible cross-contamination or carry-over. Neither cross-contamination nor carry-over could be observed. The SpeedExtractors showed excellent reliability in both aspects.
