Monitoring raw material quality in the feed industry
BUCHI NIR-Online® sensor for monitoring raw material quality in the feed industry: Protein, Moisture, Crude Fiber, Ash, and Fat with NIR
Producing safe and high-quality feed starts with having total control over the raw material. Real-time information about entire raw material (wheat, corn, barley, oat, sorghum, etc.) batches is of critical importance in order to decide upon unloading or rejection of incoming goods and their segregation as well as to optimize the production steps for highest final quality and profit. With the installation of a BUCHI NIR-Online® process analyzer at the raw material intake, grain composition of entire truck-, train- or shiploads are monitored and documented in a fast, simple, and reliable way. Relevant parameters in grains, that can be monitored with NIR, are protein, moisture, crude fiber, ash, fat, starch and gluten.
