SARS-CoV2 (Corona) virus continues to dominate everyday life in all countries where BUCHI is present. Society, the economy and private life have been lastingly affected. In many countries, more stringent measures are in place, and a lot of regions have already opted for lock-downs or at least severe restrictions due to the beginning of the third wave and the resulting higher numbers of infections.
For BUCHI, the protection of our employees and the guarantee of support for our customers remains the top priority. Our production sites in Switzerland and India are working to capacity today (April 13, 2021).
Thanks to the close contact with our suppliers worldwide, we have been able to detect delivery delays early and prevent interruptions in our supply chain. The logistics industry is working well in spite of a certain shortage, and our products can be reliably shipped to all regions again. BÜCHI Operations continues to monitor the situation closely and takes appropriate action if necessary. As of today, we can meet our normal delivery times for most products. For products that are available with a delay, we communicate the adjusted delivery times as quickly as possible through our distribution channels.
The experience we’ve gathered since the beginning of this pandemic in early 2020 has proven that our business processes are set up in such a way that they will continue to function reliably in all countries, even in times of Corona. BUCHI has taken important measures to prevent the spread of the virus as far as possible. We follow the recommendations regarding the wearing of masks, working from home whenever possible and always implement all recommended hygiene measures and clear physical distance ("physical distancing"). Also, we take part in the mass testing from the government at our headquarters in Switzerland. It goes without saying that we comply with the locally applicable regulations in all our national companies. In addition, we communicate openly and honestly in accordance with our values, also with our customers and partners.
Please note that this information reflects the status as of April 13, 2021. We are aware that the situation can change very quickly and are constantly reassessing it.
