Product Specialist NIR
Our overall NIR strategy focuses our activities on the Food and Feed and the Pharma markets. The complex and competitive NIR instrument markets require highly focused marketing activities for the successful product positioning and sales activities of BUCHI NIR equipment in the market segments of food and feed as well as the pharmaceutical industry.
The Product Specialist NIR is responsible for all activities and initiatives necessary to reach the sales targets in food and beverage and the feed industry as well as the pharmaceutical markets.
Based on his knowledge and market input the Product Specialist NIR defines products, software features and marketing materials (for products, systems and solutions) to support and strengthen our position in the food & feed and pharmaceutical market segments and other market segments where opportunities arise.
As the primary sales support for all NIR F&F and pharmaceutical projects, he provides all sales relevant documents and materials to the sales channels.
By screening the market segments for new NIR applications and by monitoring the competitive environment he is responsible to inform the sales channels and develop strategies in coordination with the Regional Sales Managers.
It is his mandate to build and keep contact with regulatory bodies such as FDA, DIN/EN, AOAC, etc. within the target market segment and note any changes to the regulations and inform the sales channels accordingly.
The Product Specialist NIR provides training to the sales staff on an ongoing basis based on new developments and applications to help identify new leads.
Academic degree in natural sciences (preferable chemistry) with sound knowledge in spectroscopy and other analytical methods.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Food & Feed and pharmaceutical markets and their future trends.
Decision making, dynamic, motivating and integrating but prevailing personality.
Creative, solution-oriented and pragmatic.
Outwardly and inwardly communicative.
Willingness to travel regularly.
