Inside Sales Representative – Fast Track

Scope

The Inside Sales Representative for BUCHI Corporation has the primary responsibility of providing direct phone sales efforts and technical sales and service solutions for all BUCHI product sets in an assigned territory. In addition to this, the ISR will complete a job/project rotation in Service and Marketing (3-4 weeks for each assignment). The ISR will report to the Inside Sales Supervisor. The ISR will be committed to the Inside Sales position for a minimum of 2 years, and then based on performance will be eligible to apply for an open field sales position that will be a good fit based on experience and skill set. If a field sales position is offered and relocation is required, a moving expense allowance will be given.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Effectively qualify targeted leads to identify need, budget, timeframe, and key decision makers to start the sales process and document activities appropriately in the CRM
  • Nurture leads that have been determined to not be sales-ready
  • Answer order, product, and service questions to the best of ability using the tools provided
  • Develop sales leads and opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, prospecting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations
  • Ensure all customers calling in are documented appropriately in the CRM
  • Participate in pre-sales activities
  • Interpret customer needs and proactively act to understand needs and identify solutions
  • Provide technical sales and service solutions for all BUCHI product sets
  • Effectively work with channel partners to increase brand awareness and drive revenue growth
  • Develop and execute a territory management plan
  • Effectively utilize monthly sales reports
  • Follow established sales policies
  • Follow BUCHI’s established CRM guidelines throughout the sales process and in maintaining accurate and current customer and contact information
  • Determine and develop strategic approaches to achieve and exceed quota
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and honesty to promote a positive BUCHI image
  • Effectively communicate and work with colleagues across all departments
  • Provide support to Sales and Service Engineers and other colleagues, including assisting with quote preparation
  • Participate in targeted marketing campaigns
  • Identify improvement opportunities and work with management to drive implementation
  • Other assigned tasks, as needed
  • Available for travel up to 10% Performance Expectations

Basic Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree or related experience
  • 6+ months of industry or lab experience Required Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and phone communication skills with a strong interest in interacting directly with customers
  • Skilled at developing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Self-motivated and excels under pressure
  • Highly functional in MS-Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Experience with CRM software, including quoting Preferred Skills

Preferred Skills

  • BS degree in Chemistry or related science
