Melting Point B-540

With its most advanced generation B-540 / B-545, Buchi has set new standards for the determination of melting points. The appliances thus fully meet the requirements of specific users for synthetical or analytical work.

The Melting Point B-540 unit is preferably used in research and at the chemist's, where frequently changing types of substances have to be determined and it is relevant to observe the substances during the melting process.

The unit is provided with a metal block to serve as heating compartment to replace the disagreeable silicone oil. While it determines melting points and boiling points up to 400°C with maximum precision, the new heating system will reduce maintenance and ensures very short cooling-down times, assisted by a fan.
